The students worked on these pointillism trees for about 15 minutes of class time for a few weeks. It does get a little monotonous to do, but the results are worth it. Marker on 12 x 14 inch card stock.

Watercolor Fall Trees and Words, Ages 7 - 12
I found a similar project on pinterest from artsonia and modified it for my class. I am so happy with the way the students are using watercolor with thought as to color placement and intensity.
They used markers to repeat three of their favorite fall words as a border.
