Color Blocked Animals, ages 9-12

The students looked at animals and broke them down into simple shapes. Then they used acrylic paint to make colorful faces.

Mother's Day Cards, ages 7-12

The students made colored pencil floral cards, foam block type printing cards and pop up cards for Mother's Day. What fun we had!

Pen and Ink Silhouette Drawings-teen class

We looked at some examples of scherenschnitte, which is german for cut paper art. We did not cut paper but took pen and ink on illustration board to create the feeling of this art. I hope to do the project again when we have the time to actually plan and cut the paper. Till then, enjoy the wonderful whimsy of these designs.
