Patterns and Birds, ages 10-12 and teen class too

I saw a demonstration online about an artist who uses white ink to create patterns on her paintings of birds. I showed my classes some of her examples and also talked about zentangles and looked at some books of patterns. I think my students totally got the lesson!

and then the adult class did an animal/pet.

What a fun technique!

Wooden panel outside the box, teen class

We took 8x10 wooden panels and had our subject matter come outside the box that was painted as a base. Fun ideas!
