Pumpkin Time - ages 7 - teens

This was a fun project we did in the student, teen and friday classes. Such a bright project to do as the days are getting shorter.  Here are just a few of the examples showing nice texture and color transitions. Acrylic on 11x14 inch wrapped canvas.

Yarn Van Gogh Starry Night, ages 8-10

We looked a the brushwork of Van Gogh paintings and thought that yarn, felt and markers might make the same texture feeling.... and it did!

Textured Watercolor Sunflowers, Teen Class

These are just wonderful! We used a watercolor underpainting, then tissue paper with 50% mod podge/water mixture and then a final watercolor. I sprayed with a matt finish to seal and bring out the colors.  Again, just wonderful!
