I really appreciate the projects that get the students thinking. 

This was about layers, and patterns behind a layer.

Landscape Layers, age 8 - 11

When deciding on where to begin on a landscape painting,

 it is good to see the space as layers.

Sky, background, middle ground and foreground are what we used. 

It is a little easier to tackle this subject and good to know where objects are placed.
