2nd Session Art Camp, #1
The class each chose a subject and did thumbnail drawings of different angles, colors... They then chose three of their favorite drawings and painted on 3 x 5 inch canvas board with acrylics. They were mounted on matboard. I can tell this is going to be a great week!

Art Camp #5, ages 8-12
Our final project for this session was a bigger than life, large oil pastel on 18 x 24 inch paper.
All I can say is that the group really did a nice job, looking for the highlights, shadows and shapes.
Yum!
All students this week should be proud of all the really nice work completed. Thanks for a great session!
Art Camp #4, ages 8 to 12
We looked at Tiffany style windows and talked about how the images are divided. We picked birds and watercolors for this project. It is a nice way to teach wet on wet technique... to show the color variations of glass.
Art Camp #3, ages 8 to 12
The students picked a shell to draw from life and did a few thumbnails to get used to the shapes. They used watercolor, pen and ink on illustration board to finish the project.

Art Camp #2, ages 8 to 12
The students chose a picture from a magazine, cut it out and created a new environment. I encouraged them to use their imagination and they really came up with some great ideas. 11x14 inches painted with acrylic and a glued magazine image on canvas board.
