Watercolor Session, teens

Today we learned about masking fluid and used some of the other techniques we learned to do some summer shells on the beach. Pretty amazing images!

Art Camp #3, ages 8 to 12

The students picked a shell to draw from life and did a few thumbnails to get used to the shapes. They used watercolor, pen and ink on illustration board to finish the project.

Shells, color and value, student ages 10-12

This project, done with watercolor washes and ink (10x10 inch illustration board) was to observe, draw and paint the shell colors and then do the values (shadows) in pen and ink dots (like sand).
