Halloween Shadow Boxes, Dioramas, ages 7-9

Just some fun Halloween shadow boxes. The students drew their ideas on paper and then we talked about layers... background, middleground and  foreground. They made sure to have something happening in each layer. Fun stuff!

Student Camp 2, Under the Sea Shadow Boxes

We talked about layers in a painting... background, middle ground and fore ground. We did some thumbnails dividing the space into layers. The surprise element was that we did them as shadow boxes, remembering the layers. This was a fun project and I also did one with each student contributing to mine. It is posted last.
