Pencil Coke Bottles, ages 8 to teens

We started our January classes with a back to basics pencil class. We did some value studies, shapes and then coke bottles for smooth texture and animals portraits for a fur texture. The Coke bottles are posted below. 18x24 inch light gray cardstock

Shape, Value and Texture, Ages 12 to 14

We talked about drawing... contour lines and recognizing value changes. Then we talked about texture and did some thumbnails. Then the students drew an orange and egg, keeping proportion, texture, value and reflections in mind. We also did a paintbrush to try other textures.
