Student Camp, Egyptian Portraits

This is another one of my favorite projects. We talked about Egypt, the land, Nile, pyramids... and showed examples of hieroglyphics and painting.  Notice the eye in a profile looks straight at you... Some of the students did themselves, some their pets... and they all added their names in hieroglyphics. They painted on 16 x 20 inch canvas board that they prepared with acrylic washes to make look like an old wall.
