Focal point, flowers, ages 8 to 11

When you look at a clock on the wall, it is in focus. What is around the clock is a little blurry. The clock is a focal point. We did the same thing with flowers. The background is blurry colors so the sharper painted flower becomes a focal point. This gives the students options on backgrounds.
