We painted on glass. This process needed planning. We drew the design on tracing paper and traced the back side on the back of the glass with marker. Then painted on that same side taking care to keep track of what color will be painted on top of the other colors. Turn it over and pop it in a frame to see the design. I oversimplified the process here, but you should get the general idea. And I also only got to photograph one of them. We tried to keep a winter, stylized Santa theme.

Watercolor Humingbirds, ages 7 - 12
We looked at examples of Tiffany Glass windows and talked about how the glass has different color variations in each piece of glass. Using a wet on wet watercolor technique the students were able to get the same feeling. They also used black marker to separate each section.
and one snow flower!
