Ornaments-ages 8-12

We used oil pastel and some students also used watercolor and cut outs for these holiday tree branches.

Warm and Cool Suns- ages 10-12

I find so much inspiration on the internet and thank all the other teachers for sharing. I know that some others have used my projects and appreciate that I can find examples of projects to share with my students. Here is a wonder project that uses warm and cool colors. Acrylic on 12 x 12 canvas board

Friday Evening Art- ages 8-12 Fun Christmas Trees!

We looked online for some inspiration and the students used what they saw to use patterns and shapes to make these fun trees. They used 11x14 inch stretched canvas and marker.

Happy Thanksgiving! - ages 7-9

We painted our backgrounds and then used some strips of paper to draw fall colored patterns. The strips were glued on the prepared paper to make turkey tails. This was a fun colorful project!

Panorama, teen class

Just a challenge for the teen class to work in a different format still thinking about composition.
4x24 inches acrylic on canvas board

State Maps- ages 10-12

I replaced my car atlas (yes I still use paper maps) and thought we could do an art project with the old one. Each student picked a state/place and modge podged it on to a board. Then they had to decide what they liked about each place and create a painting using the map as a background.

Friday Owl Project, ages 8-12

Sometimes I offer a friday evening class where we do a step by step project and eat pizza and just have a nice time after a long week at school.
This was one of the projects that I wanted to share. I got the inspiration online and each of the students made it their own. What fun!
